IN ROB ROY'S COUNTRY: TWO OF HIS CAVES BY THE BANKS OF LOCH LOMOND

IN ROB ROY'S COUNTRY: TWO OF HIS CAVES BY THE BANKS OF LOCH LOMOND

As we glide through lovely Loch Lomond on one of the steamers which ply there, we see on our way from Rowardennan to Luss the great mass of Ben Lomond (3,192 feet) on our right hand. Between this arid the shore is the lesser height of Ptarmigan (2,396 feet). Soon after passing it we see, among the cliffs and broken rocks by the water, the great cavern (bottom) known as Rob Roy's Prison. Proceeding to Inversnaid, particularly associated with the robber chief, and continuing along the east shore of the loch, to come to Rob Roy's Cave (top).
