OLD AND NEW STAINED GLASS IN THE TRINITY CHAPEL AND CORONA AT CANTERBURY

OLD AND NEW STAINED GLASS IN THE TRINITY CHAPEL AND CORONA AT CANTERBURY

The finest ancient glass in Canterbury Cathedral is to be found in the Trinity Chapel and the semicircular apse known as the Corona. There is modern glass wrought in imitation of the old in some of the windows to-day, but a fair proportion is genuine thirteenth century work inserted not long after William the Englishman created in this chapel a marvel of architectural lightness and grace Recognizable as of the thirteenth century is the richly coloured window with the happy-go-lucky leading on the left of the photograph
