A BRIDGE IN BROAD-LAND, NORFOLK

A BRIDGE IN BROAD-LAND, NORFOLK

Broad-land in Norfolk contributes a full quota of ancient and interesting bridges. That at Potter Heigham, a mile or two south-west of Hickling Broad and Heigham Sound, spans the river Thurme. One may note its distinctive triangular side arches. Much of it dates from the twelfth century.
