BRAMHALL HALL, CHESHIRE

Bramhall Hall is one of the finest of England's ancient timber and plaster buildings. Dating from the fourteenth century, it was formerly held by the Davenports, to one of whom Queen Elizabeth presented the fine mantelpiece in the drawing-room.
