The Temple Church of the Crusaders

The Temple Church of the Crusaders

The Temple Church, begun in 1185 in imitation of that of the Holy Sepulchre at Jerusalem, is one of London's most attractive shrines, both in itself and its associations. This photograph is taken from the river side. The round portion of the church is a most interesting architectural link with the Norman period.
