The School chapel, and the Library, Which also a Museum

The chapel (bottom) of Christ's Hospital is adequately spacious and, from an architectural standpoint, perhaps the most successful of the school buildings ; its principal decoration is two long series of mural paintings by Mr. Frank Brangwyn, R.A. The library (top) as the photograph reveals, is also a museum of antiquities and natural history. Science, it should be noted, now occupies a very important place in the school curriculum; Christ's Hospital was a pioneer of scientific training at public schools.
