The Memorial to the Dover Patrol stands high on the cliffs above St. Margaret's Bay, a perpetual reminder of that section of the British Navy that kept the Straits safe for British transport. Theirs was the exploit of Zeebrugge in 1918, and theirs the guns that for weary years gave support to the Army's left flank.
