TO THE SONS OF WALES: THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL AT CARDIFF

Not until June 1928 was the Welsh National Memorial unveiled in its beautiful sylvan setting, where the grace and poetry of its design can be appreciated by the thousands of Cardiff's citizens. On the summit of the centrepiece a great bronze Messenger of Victory lifts his sword; the three porches projecting from the circular colonnade stand for the three ways by which victory was at last accomplished, the Sea, the Land and the Air. There are stone seats within the base where those in quest of privacy may rest.
