ROYAL MARINE GROUP AT PLYMOUTH: MONUMENTS AT ALDERSHOT. SALCOMBE AND TORQUAY

Plymouth Town has its own memorial, and the boldly conceived group in the photograph (bottom left) is that of the Royal Marines. It stands under the Citadel walls. On the green of Queen's Avenue, Aldershot, is the fine Cenotaph crowned by a British lion (bottom right) which has been put up by the Eighth Division, whose headquarters are seen in the background. The Salcombe Cross (top right) is on the esplanade of that town, and the Cenotaph at Torquay stands in the beautiful Prince's Gardens.
