THREE EAST ANGLIAN MEMORIALS: HUNSTANTON, LOWESTOFT AND KING'S LYNN

A handsome Cenotaph, with names boldly inscribed on its face, has been erected on the Green at Hunstanton (bottom), overlooking the sea, Lowestoft's pylon (top left), with its enclosed platform for the reception of wreaths, carries with simple dignity its message to the living from the dead. This monument is on the Parade, opposite to the entrance to the south pier. Mounted on a great pedestal, the obelisk and Cross at King's Lynn (top right) occupies a prepared site in the public gardens. Grey Friars' Steeple is seen in the background.
