MEMORIES OF SAMUEL PEPYS IN HIS FATHER'S HOUSE

MEMORIES OF SAMUEL PEPYS IN HIS FATHER'S HOUSE

John Pepys, father of the diarist, was a tailor in London for some years, and then, in 1661, came into an estate at Brampton, a village two miles south-west of Huntingdon. The estate caused litigation, and the old house is still there where Samuel walked and talked and pondered how to get the better of the other side.
