'HALF-WAY' TWIXT LONDON AND BRISTOL

After sixty and a half miles of travelling along the Bath Road we find this old toll-house, with its roof pretentiously castellated, which is supposed to mark the exact half-way between London and Bristol. It is east of Hungerford.
