Dorset lane where the King escaped pursuit

A mile on the Dorchester side of Bridport is a turning, called Lee Lane, to the right, and it leads to the village of Bradpole. A stone was erected in 1901 to commemorate the king's escape down it when pressed by the Parliamentary searchers.
