WHERE THE PORTSMOUTH AND BATH ROADS DIVERGE

WHERE THE PORTSMOUTH AND BATH ROADS DIVERGE

At Knightsbridge, just after passing the north end of Sloane Street, the road forks. The Portsmouth Road, here called the Brompton Road, goes off to the left. Notice the signpost by the statue - Portsmouth 71 m. Knights-bridge is a corruption of Neyte Bridge, the bridge in the manor of Neyte.
