HENRY VII'S RICHMOND PALACE

Henry V rebuilt an already ancient palace by the Thames at Sheen. It was burned down, and again rebuilt, and renamed, by Henry VII, since, before being king, he had been Earl of Richmond in Yorkshire. Here Queen Elizabeth died.
