QUAKER BURIAL GROUND AND MEETING ROOM AT JORDANS

Jordans was built in 1688, a year before the Toleration Act was passed making things easier for the harassed but valiant Quaker sect. Visitors are shown the famous meeting room (bottom) and the graveyard (top). Of the tombstones the first on the left in the front row is that of William Penn Penn's two wives and five of his children are also buried here.
