FOUNTAIN IN THE GREAT COURT AT TRINITY

FOUNTAIN IN THE GREAT COURT AT TRINITY

Henry VIII was the founder of Trinity, and he amalgamated three older foundations in his new college. Dr. Nevile, Master from 1593 till 1615, constructed most of the Great Court as it now stands and built the beautiful fountain. Behind this fountain we see the entrance to the chapel, which dates from about 1564.
